Possibly the gentlest cruising ground in the Mediterranean: a bay full of bays, short hops and shelter almost everywhere.

Göcek sits at the head of a wide bay scattered with wooded islands, and almost every corner of it is protected. Passages are measured in single-figure miles. The standard mooring technique is bows-to with a long line ashore to a tree, which is worth practising on the first day. Season runs longer here than most of the Med.

A typical week

  1. Day 1 Göcek to Bedri Rahmi bay
  2. Day 2 Tersane and the Twelve Islands
  3. Day 3 Fethiye town
  4. Day 4 Ölüdeniz coast and Butterfly Valley by tender
  5. Day 5 Sarsala
  6. Day 6 Boynuz Buku
  7. Day 7 Göcek

Roughly 50 to 70 nautical miles over the week
